In 2008 I really, really wanted to paint an old sailor man. I never met one before.
I found a b/w photo on the Internet, that I used as reference for my painting, as inspiration. Unfortunately I do not know the photographer's name, so I can not give credit now.
I, honestly, painted this for myself, but now I uploaded it here mostly for a Challenge here on FAA, where I thought that will fit in.
Original sold in a major Juried Show in VA.
